The Legal Basis for Processing

Under the UK GDPR, the main grounds that we rely upon in order to process your personal information are the following:

  • Contractual Necessity: To fulfill the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you (e.g., providing access to downloads after purchase).
  • Legitimate Interests: For our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests (e.g., detecting and preventing fraud).

Payment Processing and Security

Payment security is our highest priority. FIVEGRAB LTD utilizes world-class payment processors like Payoneer, Stripe, and PayPal. We do not store or process your sensitive credit card data on our own servers. All payment data is encrypted via SSL and handled by the respective payment provider according to PCI-DSS standards.

When you make a purchase, the payment gateway provides us with a confirmation token and basic billing information which we use to activate your download credits and generate your VAT invoice.

5

Data Retention Policy

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means.

  • Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active.
  • Transaction Records: Retained for 6 years to comply with UK tax laws.
  • Download Logs: Retained for 2 years to monitor for copyright infringement.
